21-Day Detox

In this 2020, improve your digestive system and detoxify your liver with this 21-day detox. This detox focuses on regulating your digestive system through intermittent fasting which requires waiting 12-16 hours between dinner and breakfast. It also seeks to fuel the body with liquids and easy-to-digest foods so that the body can process everything we consume more easily. Through this detox, we will be incorporating foods that help detoxify the liver as well and reducing the amount of foods that exhaust our liver and prevent it from doing its job of detoxifying the rest of the toxins in the body.

Here we leave you the detox guidelines:

  • Zero caffeine (consume only herbal teas without caffeine. Green tea is allowed). The water for teas should not be boiling. Let it cool for 2-3min after the water boils. Add a little lemon.
  • zero alcohol
  • Zero dairy or animal products
  • zero gluten
  • Zero refined sugar

intermittent fasting

  • Wait 12-16hrs between dinner and breakfast
  • Consume fluids at dinner and breakfast
  • Most foods should be whole, raw foods

Foods that help detoxify the liver:

  • raw garlic
  • almonds & walnuts
  • raw kale & spinach
  • Arugula & mustard greens
  • Avocado
  • Citrus: orange, lemon, grapefruit
  • Dark blueberries: blueberries & blackberries
  • beetroot juice
  • Broccoli, broccoli sprouts, and brussels sprouts
  • Probiotics and fermented foods
  • Turmeric with pepper
  • Cold-pressed crude oils (olive or coconut is fine)

Always remember that nutrition is something personal and that not all bodies react the same to the same foods. Always listen to your body and if something isn't feeling right, don't continue with the detox.
