Pak Choi & Shitake in Sesame Oil Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 units of pak choi
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1lb shiitake mushrooms
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon of fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Boil the pak choi for two minutes. Rinse with cold water.
  2. In a wok, fry the garlic in the vegetable oil. Add shitakes.
  3. In a bowl, combine 1/2 cup of the water with the cornstarch. Add to wok.
  4. Add pak choi to the wok along with the shitake mixture. When it is boiling, add fish sauce and pepper.
  5. Turn off the heat and add the sesame oil, sesame seeds and salt to taste.
