Homemade Tomato Sauce Recipe (Italian style)

        1. Cut the tomato in half and discard the seeds.
        2. Press the cut side of the tomato against the large holes of a grater until only the skin remains. Discard the shells.
        3. In a deep skillet or pot, add the grated tomato, salt, oil, garlic, basil, and bay leaf over high heat. When it starts to boil, reduce heat to a simmer.
        4. Cook until the sauce is about half full, about 10-15min, stirring occasionally.
        5. Add salt and pepper to your liking. Stir-fry with your favorite pasta/spaghetti.
        TIP: The sauce lasts up to 5 days refrigerated or can be frozen for future use.
